Paid Legal Internship Program, seeking Concord-Carlisle High School students

Job Information:

• Part-time; students work approximately 2 afternoons at the office per week during school year and occasional weekends (with some remote work), and part-time during summer at small law office in Concord, MA 747 Main Street, Suite 219

• $15/hour
  
  • Best fit candidates are those who are outgoing, communicative, take initiative and follow up, are responsible, honest, exercise leadership, are motivated, friendly and fun, and are respectful to and enjoy working with others. 
    
  • Student interns are mentored and work collaboratively with other interns
    
  •  Interns must have interest in supporting colleagues, contributing to a positive work culture, developing advanced skills, facing challenges, and contributing to and handling the day-to-day requirements of working at a law office.  Must maintain confidentiality.
    
  • Internships are competitive and students usually work part-time for two years before graduation

• Students become part of a network of post-graduate interns and often continue part-time after graduation

• Students can take school bus to 747 Main St. during the school year

• Practice areas: personal injury, general practice, criminal, billing, and business matters.  Political opportunities:  Progressive advocacy and Democratic candidates, social justice, Ellen Garrison, DEI, anti-bullying, MeToo, No Kings, immigrant rights,  anti-nuke, hate crimes, and fighting antisemitism

Requirements:

• Classes of 2028 and 2029
  
• Should have excellent writing and organizational skills, clear handwriting, and IT skills

• Must be responsible, respectful, and take position seriously

• Interns must have interest in developing advanced skills and in facing challenges, as well as in handling the day-to-day requirements of working at a law office 

• Must communicate with and respond quickly to their colleagues via text, telephone, video, and email 

• Interns and families must be fully vaccinated and boosted

• Videography and website creation skills helpful

• Parent enthusiasm for internship is necessary 

• School athletes, this job is not for you
